The earlier days of fall don’t usually require much besides some simple layering.  A little black dress starts things off…a floral kimono adds a bit of interest, and a denim jacket is so perfect for cooler temps.  Of course, I can’t resist letting my toes breathe for as long as possible…I’d wear open-toed shoes until the first snowfall if I could!

what a great little tutorial…so many of my clients think layering is complicated, I like to think of it as piling on your favorite things, haha.
To answer you..I stayed away from tall boots two years ago and got back in last season..I wear them with leggings, skinny jeans and little skirts or dresses…I love a good mod nod, and feel like boots with a mini dress/skirt achieves that for fun nights out or whatever.
YOu look lovely here by the way and that kimono is FAB!

You’re too funny, Carly! Thanks for answering my question! All the ways you mentioned do sound cute… I think that I might just be too short for tall boots : (

I love this layering and how you showed it in steps too! You look great and the gold belt was perfect too, how exciting you got a Phillip Lim bag from the Target sale.
